Homecoming Week at Washington High School is October 4-9.
The Homecoming football game is scheduled for Friday, October 8. The football Blue Jays take on Francis Howell North at 7 p.m.
This year’s Homecoming theme is “Botanical Bliss.”
The Homecoming Court will be introduced at halftime of Friday night’s football game.
The Coronation will be at the dance, which takes place on Saturday, October 9, at Scanlan Stadium on the WHS campus from 4-6:30 p.m.
The Homecoming Parade is Wednesday, October 6, at 4 p.m. It will be the same route as previous years. It begins at Main and Cedar. It will continue on Main Street, turn on Jefferson Street to Eighth Street to Sunnyside and end at Washington High School.
Seniors can begin purchasing Homecoming Dance tickets on Monday, September 27. Juniors can begin purchasing tickets on Tuesday, September 28. Sophomores can begin purchasing tickets on Wednesday, September 29. Freshmen can begin purchasing tickets on Thursday, September 30.
The last day to purchase dance tickets will be Friday, October 1. Students may purchase tickets before school from 7:45 to 8:10 a.m. in front of the guidance office entrance and after school in the guidance office lobby from 3:25 to 3:45 p.m. Tickets will be $10 and must be purchased in advance. No tickets can be purchased the night of the event. Tickets will be limited to 400, but a waiting list will be taken if more than 400 tickets are sold.
October 4-8 is spirit week at Washington High School. The themes for each day are as follows:
Monday: PJ Day
Tuesday: Everything But A Backpack Day
Wednesday: Generations Day
Thursday: Fraternity vs. Sorority
Friday: Blue Jay Pride
