Posted on 03/04/2022
Teaching Careers Passion ProjectsSeniors in the Teaching Careers Program at Four Rivers Career Center presented passion projects on school reform during class sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, March 2 and 3.

The six-week project allowed the students to conduct research, engage in conversations with experts in the field, and pitch a solution to an education-related issue.

Guests in the classroom during the student presentations included School District of Washington Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart, SDOW Assistant Superintendent Maranda Anderson, SDOW Director of Social Emotional Learning Rachael Wilcox, SDOW College and Career Specialist Annie Wieland, and FRCC Director Andy Robinson.

Students in Jenny Meers’ Teaching Careers Program will showcase their work later this semester at Ed Night, which will be held in the Confluence Space at Four Rivers Career Center on Tuesday, April 26, from 6-8 p.m.

Below are pictures of the student presentations.
