Posted on 04/29/2022
Teaching Careers Ed NightStudents in the CAPS Teaching Careers program at the Four Rivers Career Center hosted "Ed Night" on Tuesday, April 26, in the Confluence room at FRCC.

During the open house event, a total of 17 students presented their projects, received superlative awards, presented a check to the Food Backpack Program, and celebrated their achievements from the past year in the Teaching Careers class at FRCC.

Students in the program also participated in a signing ceremony to announce their intent to pursue a career in education.

Teaching Careers students will be able to return to their home districts and work after attending college and obtaining teacher certification. Five of the program students already have obtained their paraprofessional certification, and three students are traveling to Washington D.C. this summer to compete in national contests and present to other aspiring teachers from across the country.

The FRCC Teaching Careers program is a senior-only program for students looking to explore education as a profession.
