Homecoming Week at Washington High School is September 19-24.
The Homecoming football game is scheduled for Friday, September 23. The football Blue Jays take on Liberty at 7 p.m.
This year’s Homecoming theme is “Black Tie Affair.” (Black and white colors).
The Homecoming Court will be introduced at halftime of Friday night’s football game.
The coronation will be at the dance, which takes place on Saturday, September 24, in the Blue Jay Gymnasium at WHS from 6-9 p.m. Coronation will be at 8 p.m.
The Homecoming parade is Thursday, September 22, at 4 p.m. It will be the same route as previous years. It begins at Main and Cedar. It will continue on Main Street, turn on Jefferson Street to Eighth Street to Sunnyside and end at Washington High School.
Homecoming dance tickets will be on sale during the week of September 19-23 before school in the counselor’s lobby at WHS. The cost is $10 per ticket and they will be sold only before school, not at the door on the day of the dance.
September 19-23 is spirit week at Washington High School. The themes for each day are as follows:
Monday - Pajama Day
Tuesday - Hat Day
Wednesday - Tie Dye
Thursday - Dress like your favorite teacher/coach
Friday - Black and white colors
