Washington High School tennis player Evie Bryson is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week, sponsored by First State Community Bank.
Bryson, a junior, capped off a perfect singles record in the GAC North-Central, finishing with a 12-0 record. She was on the No. 1 doubles division winning team and also won the No. 1 singles tournament.
During the Class 2 District 2 Tournament, Bryson earned a singles spot for the Class 2 State Tournament, becoming the first tennis player from Washington High School to qualify for the State Tennis Tournament in only its second season of competition.
