Facilities Plan

Building for the Future: Long-Range Facilities Planning
The School District of Washington is committed to providing safe, modern, and effective learning environments for all students. Through our Long-Range Facilities Plan, we are addressing current needs while planning for the future to ensure our schools continue to support high-quality teaching and learning. This important work is guided by staff, community, and student feedback, along with input from our Board of Education, administrative team, and professional partners.

Survey Results
In May, we invited staff and community members to share feedback about our facility needs and priorities. Thank you to everyone who participated – your voice is helping shape the future of our schools.

Facilities Feedback Sessions
As a next step, we are working with Hollis + Miller (architects) and Navigate (owner’s representative) to review early concepts for future learning environments. These sessions provide an opportunity to give input on potential improvements to Washington High School and learning spaces across the district.
Upcoming Session
  • Date: Tuesday, October 7
  • Location: Washington High School Auditorium (CJB)
Your feedback at these sessions will help shape the final designs that may be included in a possible no-tax increase bond.

What’s Next
Planning for our facilities is ongoing and will include deeper engagement opportunities this fall. Feedback from our community will continue to guide this process as we work toward recommendations for the Board of Education and consideration of a possible 2026 bond.
