Lady Jays Win Washington Girls Golf Tournament at Wolf Hollow
Wolf Hollow Golf Club was the site for the 10th Annual Washington Girls Golf Tournament on Monday, September 9.
Playing on their home course, the Lady Jays captured the team title with a score of 342. Ft. Zumwalt North finished second with 348 followed by Liberty (355), Ft. Zumwalt South (375), Timberland (380), Lutheran St. Charles (391), Troy (406), St. Francis Borgia (416), St. Clair (429), Union (433), Lutheran South (434), Francis Howell Central (470), Sullivan (490) and Pacific (552).
Washington placed first and second in the individual standings. Leading the way was Abby Blackwell, who carded an 18-hole round of one-over par 72. Ella Martin finished second with a three-over par 74.
Also playing in the tournament for the Lady Jays were Lily Nieder (19th place with a round of 96), Kloey O’Connell (28th place with 100) and Josie Kemper (37th place with 107).
Washington girls golf is coached by Ben Hornback, assisted by Jessica Fitzgerald.
