Clearview Elementary Veterans Day Program
Clearview Elementary held its annual Veterans Day Program on Wednesday, November 6.
Students and staff filled the Clearview gymnasium, and were joined by a number of veterans from the area. Breakfast was served to the Veterans prior to the assembly.
Clearview Principal Dr. Matt Busekrus served as Master of Ceremonies. Clearview students in grades 4-6 participated in the ceremony by singing songs, including the “Salute to the Services” song.
Washington High School NJROTC, led by Senior Chief Nathan Hernandez, was on hand for a drill rifle presentation by the WHS Exhibition Team. Washington VFW Post 2661 presented the colors.
At the end of the ceremony, students lined up to shake hands with all of the Veterans.
