Modified Days Thursday-Friday, December 19-20; Winter Break Begins Monday, December 23
Winter break for the School District of Washington begins on Monday, December 23, and runs through Wednesday, January 1. Staff returns for professional development days (no students) on Thursday and Friday, January 2 and 3. Students return to school on Monday, January 6.
Leading up to the winter break, there will be modified days for students on Thursday and Friday, December 19 and 20. Dismissal times on modified days are as follows:
Elementary
Students will be dismissed at 11:50 a.m.; a sack lunch will be available.
Middle School
Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.; a sack lunch will be available.
High School
Students will be dismissed at 12:25 p.m.; a sack lunch will be available.
Four Rivers Career Center
Tuesday, December 17: Morning students will follow the normal schedule. Washington High School afternoon students will be released at 1:10 p.m. and return to the high school. Sending afternoon students will be dismissed at 2:15 p.m.
Wednesday, December 18: Normal schedule.
Thursday, December 19: Afternoon Washington High School students will attend in the morning and be dismissed at 11 a.m. Morning sending school students will attend FRCC at the normal time (8:25-11 a.m.). Morning Washington High School students will not attend and will remain at the high school. There will be no classes in the afternoon.
Friday, December 20: Morning students will attend and follow their normal schedule with an 11 a.m. dismissal. Afternoon students will not attend. There will be no classes in the afternoon.
Early Learning Center
At the Early Learning Center, Thursday, December 19, is a normal day. Winter break at the ELC begins on Friday, December 20. Students return on Monday, January 6.
