South Point Elementary held its annual Veterans Day Assembly on Thursday, November 7.

Students and staff were joined by veterans from the area, who were treated to breakfast in the cafeteria prior to the program.

South Point students participated in the ceremony by singing patriotic songs under the direction of music teacher Maggie Butler. Washington VFW Post 2661 presented the colors. The veterans on hand introduced themselves during the assembly.

South Point Elementary sixth-grade student Penelope Jensen sang the national anthem.
