Washington High School swimmer Brooke Schoonover is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week.

Schoonover, a sophomore, recorded her fastest backstroke leg of the 200 medley relay in a recent meet against Borgia at the Four Rivers YMCA, helping the Lady Jays improve their state consideration time. She also has a state consideration time in the 100 backstroke with a personal record time of 1:05.89.
