Sixth-Grade Students Participate in Four Rivers Career Center BUILD Days
Four Rivers Career Center held the first day of sixth-grade BUILD days on Friday, January 17.
Every sixth-grade student from the School District of Washington will have the chance to visit the Career Center in the coming weeks to learn about the different programs and opportunities available, and also participate in activities.
The sixth-grade students learn about career and technical education programs and explore a variety of career options.
Current Career Center students will lead the sixth-graders on tours, stopping in each program for hands-on, interactive projects and experiences throughout the day.
Each session lasts approximately 15 minutes. By the end of the visit, the sixth-grade students will spend time in each of the Career Center’s classrooms and shops.
Some of the activities include a spark plug challenge in automotive technology, a construction relay in building construction, and using stethoscopes in health occupations.
