Washington High School Places Third at VEX Robotics Troy Winter Classic
The Washington High School Robotics Team recently competed at the VEX Robotics Troy Winter Classic, where it was a semifinalist and finished in third place.
The team competed in the 2024-2025 VEX Competition called High Stakes, where robots battled 2 vs. 2 against other schools. The robot can clamp on and move goals, using scoring rings to put rings on the goals. The scoring elements look like donuts. Click here for a video explaining High Stakes.
"I am very happy with our performance at the Troy Winter Classic. Our group of students have done a tremendous job designing, building, coding, and troubleshooting the robot through the entire process,” said WHS Robotics Coach Dane Gough. “This is our best finish in any robotics tournament we have entered. I am proud of our accomplishments.”
Team Members are Noa Nappier, Simon Figas, Miles Cochran, Gavin White, Brayden Miller, Isaac Brune and Anderson Collins.
