Washington High School’s Winter Courtwarming, “Cupid’s Courtwarming,” is scheduled for Friday, February 14. The girls and boys varsity and junior varsity basketball teams will all be in action against Ft. Zumwalt North.

Varsity games will be played in the Big Blue Jay Gym with the girls at 5:30 p.m. followed by the boys at 7 p.m. Junior varsity games will be played in the Little Blue Jay Gym with the boys at 5:30 p.m. followed by the girls at 7 p.m.

This year's Courtwarming theme is “Valentines.”

The Courtwarming Court will be introduced between the varsity girls game and the varsity boys game at approximately 6:45-7 p.m. The dance will be held following the varsity boys basketball game. It will take place in the Little Blue Jay Gymnasium from 8:45-10:30 p.m. Coronation will be held during the dance at 9:45 p.m.

Tickets to the dance are available for WHS students for $5 and will be sold before school from February 10-13 (no school February 14) in the guidance lobby. ​Tickets also will be sold Tuesday and Thursday, February 11 and 13, after school from 3:25-3:40 p.m. Tickets will not be sold at the dance. Students will need their school ID for entrance to the dance. Students who want to bring a guest other than a WHS student must complete a guest form prior to purchase of their ticket. Guest forms can be found in the principal offices. Guests will need a form of ID for entrance to the dance.

UPDATE to Courtwarming Ticket Sales: Tickets will be sold during the varsity boys basketball game in the lobby of the Blue Jay Gymnasium for $5.

February 10-14 is spirit week at Washington High School. The themes for each day are as follows:

Monday: Adam Sandler Day – Dress like the rom-com star Adam Sandler.

Tuesday: Twin Day – Celebrate your love for your bestie by twinning.

Wednesday: Show your team some love – Wear your favorite team’s apparel.

Thursday: Cupid’s Colors – Freshmen wear white, sophomores wear purple, juniors wear red, and seniors wear pink. 

Friday: No School.
