Washington High School Academic Challenge Team Places First at District Competition
Washington High School’s Academic Challenge team (ACES) participated in the Academic Challenge in Engineering and Science District Competition on Wednesday, February 5, at East Central College.
Washington’s varsity team took first place in the event and will move on to sectional competition in March.
“Our ACES team had a good day and represented Washington High School very well,” said WHS Academic Challenge Advisor Melissa Mauchenheimer. “Even if you didn’t medal, your points counted toward the team advancement. So it took everyone on the team to help get first place.”
