SDOW Math Instruction and Curriculum Coordinator Stacey Maciejewski Receives Blue Jay Pride Award
Stacey Maciejewski, K-12 Math Instruction and Curriculum Coordinator for the School District of Washington, is the February recipient of the Blue Jay Pride Award.
The Blue Jay Pride Award was introduced to recognize and showcase quality School District of Washington staff and the focus on the District’s core beliefs. Through peer nomination, individuals are able to acknowledge exceptional staff who positively impact the schools, district and community.
The individual who is recognized each month will be presented with a traveling plaque and a gift bag.
Maciejewski’s nomination form stated the following:
“Stacey is an exceptional asset to our team and embodies the district’s mission and core values in every aspect of her work. She has a unique ability to support not only individual teachers, but also to enhance the learning experiences of students across the district. Stacey consistently goes above and beyond, offering her expertise and guidance whenever and wherever it’s needed.
“Her commitment to promoting a caring school environment is clear through her approachable, collaborative demeanor. Stacey is always available to support her colleagues, whether it’s providing instructional materials, sharing strategies, or offering a fresh perspective on student challenges. Her ability to make complex math concepts accessible for all learners fosters real-world learning experiences and empowers both teachers and students to achieve their full potential.
“Stacey models and expects high ROCK character in all her interactions. She treats everyone with respect, shows great responsibility in her work, and consistently demonstrates integrity in her actions. She is a constant advocate for education, always finding innovative ways to support instruction and drive student success.
“Additionally, Stacey engages families and the community by sharing resources, offering professional development, and providing ongoing support for both students and staff. Her collaborative nature fosters a culture of growth, learning, and innovation within our district.
“Stacey’s dedication to both her role and her students makes her a remarkable Blue Jay, and she truly exemplifies the mission of inspiring achievement, character, and personal growth in every student she touches.”
Maciejewski was presented the Blue Jay Pride Award traveling plaque by SDOW Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart. She also received a gift bag from the Bank of Washington, represented by Brad Mitchell, Melissa Buel, Jamie Holtmeier and Phillip Kleekamp.
