WHS LINK Crew Hosts Mario Kart Fundraiser Tournament
Washington High School LINK Crew hosted a March Madness Mario Kart Tournament fundraiser to raise money for freshman orientation.
A total of 52 students participated in the round robin portion of the competition, with 32 students advancing to elimination play.
The final round of the tournament took place on Thursday, March 27, on the video board at Scanlan Stadium.
Four students, Noa Nappier, Sophie Sheahan, Collin Brinker and Ethan Pier competed in the championship match for the crown. Pier, a senior, held off the other competitors for the win. He then faced mystery guests WHS Principal Dr. Eric Turner, counselor Bradley Kuntzman and Resource Officer Greg Garrett for bragging rights. Once again, Pier was the winner.
