The School District of Washington will hold an Open Enrollment Information Night on Thursday, March 6, at the district’s Technology and Learning Center, 5 Chamber Drive, Washington, from 6-7 p.m. Missouri House Bill 711 (HB 711) and Senate Bill 215 (SB 215) are legislative proposals introduced in 2025 that aim to establish open enrollment policies, allowing students to transfer to public schools outside their resident districts under specified conditions. SDOW Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart will host the event and explain how open enrollment has a negative impact on our community. Families and community members are invited to the event.
