Four Rivers Career Center Leads Missouri in Registered Youth Apprenticeships

Four Rivers Career Center (FRCC) is proud to celebrate an outstanding milestone: we now lead the entire state of Missouri in the number of Registered Youth Apprentices. This achievement reflects the incredible talent and dedication of our students, the commitment of our educators, and the support of our community partners.
At the School District of Washington, our mission guides everything we do: to inspire achievement, character, and personal growth in all students as they pursue and succeed in college, careers, and life. By pairing students with real employers, real tools, and real challenges, we prepare them not just for the workforce, but for a future filled with purpose and possibility.
This accomplishment would not be possible without the businesses and industry leaders who open their doors to FRCC students. These partners play an essential role by:
- Providing meaningful, hands-on experiences
- Mentoring students in both technical skills and professional habits
- Helping shape a talent pipeline that strengthens our entire region
- Reinforcing the belief that students learn best when connected to authentic, real-world work
Their investment isn’t just in FRCC, it’s in the long-term success of our students and the vitality of the Washington community and surrounding areas. When our partners step up to support youth apprenticeships, they help turn classroom learning into career readiness, and interest into opportunity.
As the state leader in Registered Youth Apprentices, Four Rivers Career Center is proud to be a model for what strong school/community partnerships can achieve. This recognition is a testament to a community that believes in its young people and invests deeply in their potential.
Together, we’re not only preparing students for college, careers, and life but shaping the next generation of leaders, creators, and problem-solvers.
