Terry Zanin, maintenance worker with the School District of Washington, is the September recipient of the Blue Jay Pride Award.

The Blue Jay Pride Award was introduced to recognize and showcase quality School District of Washington staff and the focus on the District’s core beliefs. Through peer nomination, individuals are able to acknowledge exceptional staff who positively impact the schools, district and community. 

The individual who is recognized each month will be presented with a traveling plaque and a gift bag.

Zanin’s nomination form stated the following:

“Terry answers the call, whether early in the morning or on a Saturday afternoon. We start each day at 7 a.m. Terry quite often is in and on the run before 7 a.m. making sure HVAC is up and running in multiple buildings. We've seen Terry on the roof before sunrise to get the AC up and running. Terry is always willing to assist any team member on a project. This past year, Terry has worked on HVAC daily and has assisted team members with playground installs, fiber line repairs, plumbing issues, and numerous other projects. The School District of Washington is lucky to have a caring individual like Terry to support our students and staff.”

Zanin was presented the Blue Jay Pride Award traveling plaque by SDOW Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart. He also received a gift bag from the Bank of Franklin County, represented by Corey Baker.
