Washington Middle School Hosts Pink Out Basketball Game During School Day
Washington Middle School’s eighth grade girls basketball team hosted a pink out game against Hermann during the school day on Thursday, October 10.
The event helped spread awareness of breast cancer and showed support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Washington Middle School Student Council made a check presentation to the Franklin County Area United Way for $375.
The gymnasium was packed with the middle school student body and staff watching the game and wearing pink. Members of the WMS choir performed the national anthem and WMS cheerleaders were on hand for the game.
The WMS seventh-grade basketball team played an inters-quad scrimmage following the eighth-grade contest.
Hermann defeated Washington in the eighth-grade girls basketball contest, 38-16.
