Parker-Hannifin/Sporlan Donates Robotic Arm to Four Rivers Career Center's Engineering Program
Parker-Hannifin/Sporlan of Washington recently donated a robotic arm, valued at approximately $40,000, to the Engineering program at Four Rivers Career Center.
The robotic arm introduces students to “collaborative robotics” technology, which allows humans to work safely in proximity to robots. Students are incorporating the robot in automation processes to learn how to integrate various types of programmable technology into a single system designed for accomplishing tasks efficiently.
“Four Rivers Career Center and our engineering department are grateful for Parker-Hannifin/Sporlan’s generosity and commitment to connecting Washington’s youth to career pathways,” said FRCC Engineering Instructor Nick Straatmann.
