Aubrey Holt - Blue Jay Pride Award
Aubrey Holt, guidance counselor at Washington West Elementary, is the December recipient of the Blue Jay Pride Award.
The Blue Jay Pride Award was introduced to recognize and showcase quality School District of Washington staff and the focus on the District’s core beliefs. Through peer nomination, individuals are able to acknowledge exceptional staff who positively impact the schools, district and community.
The individual who is recognized each month will be presented with a traveling plaque and a gift bag.
Holt’s nomination form stated the following:
“Aubrey often goes above and beyond to meet the needs of students. She is student-centered and keeps the needs of School District of Washington students at the forefront of her decision making. Most recently, she opened her home to a child in need, which shows the immense care she has for our students. Aubrey's care for kids embodies who we are as a District.”
Holt was presented the Blue Jay Pride Award traveling plaque by SDOW Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart. She also received a gift bag from the Bank of Washington, represented by Brad Mitchell, Melissa Buel, Danny Tobben and Phillip Kleekamp.
