South Point Elementary Spring Fling
South Point Elementary School held its Spring Fling on Monday, May 12. Students participated in a number of games and activities during the festivities.
Spring Fling is a fun, end-of-the-year South Point tradition featuring teacher-led stations and parent partners. New for 2025 was the addition of a local business - the Little Dreamers Barnyard, which brought K-2 students in contact with miniature animals.
A long-time South Point family, the Hausers, provided and served cotton candy all day, which was a student favorite. A total of 22 parent volunteers aided teaching staff in hosting fun activities such as the bounce houses, tug-of-war competition, the blacklight glow-and-dance party, water balloons and sponge games, bubble machines and rope-bubble creation, tie-dye t-shirts for the older kids, beach volleyball games, hoola-hoop competitions, sidewalk chalk, and a wild slip-and-slide obstacle course that ensured everyone got wet.
The day was capped off with a visit from the fire department courtesy of the Risch family, where students ran through the firehose spray.
