Washington High School Students Attend Missouri Girls and Boys State
Seven rising seniors from Washington High School were among approximately 1,500 students who attended Missouri Girls and Boys State at Lindenwood University June 21-28.
The weeklong summer program exposes students to many facets of government and encourages civic engagement, leadership, and patriotism. The goal is to develop confident and informed leaders who will return and contribute to their communities.
WHS students attending were Nathan Oreskovic, Eleni Kriete, Colin Briggs, Tyler Vollmer, Jack Henderson, Olivia Jensen and Dayton Griesheimer.
The program is run by the American Legion, but would not be possible without the financial sponsorship of students by many local civic organizations.
