Washington High School swimmer Draven Koehmstedt is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week.

Koehmstedt, a sophomore, broke the WHS school record in the 100 backstroke twice at the GAC North/Central Championships, once in the preliminaries and again in the finals.

Koehmstedt also was the anchor swimmer on the 400 freestyle relay team, helping the Blue Jays come from behind to win the event in a new school record time.
