Washington High School boys basketball player Demetrius Lockett is the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week.

Lockett, a 5-9 senior guard, is averaging 10.5 points, 3.4 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game while shooting 56.9 percent on two-point attempts, 37.3 percent on three-point attempts and 75 percent from the free-throw line. He scored a career-high 28 points, going 11-13 from the field (6-7 on three-point shots), in a recent game against Ft. Zumwalt South. He also scored 13 points in a win over Timberland.
