Teaching Careers Students Earn Honors at Educators Rising State Conference
Four Rivers Career Center Teaching Careers students competed at the State Educators Rising Conference on Friday, March 7, where they won several awards.
The conference was held at Westminster College in Fulton and hosted Educators Rising chapters from across the state.
The FRCC chapter had 18 students who made the trip to the event. A total of 12 students qualified for the National Competition in Orlando, Fla., this summer. Several brought home medals, placing first through fifth in their events.
Results from the FRCC’s Teaching Career students are as follows:
Tessie Franssen – First place in Public Speaking
Brooke Mizner – First place in Children's Lit K-3
Ethan Pier – Second place in Public Speaking
Danielle Newhouse – Second place in Interactive Bulletin Board
Kaylin Monnig – Third place in Exploring Support Services
Callie Dyer, Chesni Jones and Makayla Meyer – Third place in Ethical Dilemma Team
Anthony Mooney – Sixth place in Job Interview
Chesni Jones – Seventh place in Exploring Administration
Kylie Meyer – Seventh place in Exploring Noncore Teaching Careers
Delaney Ohm – Seventh place in Ed Rising Moment
Madison Sumner – 10th place in Ed Rising Moment.
