Labadie Elementary Paraprofessional Jessica Lueckenhoff Receives Blue Jay Pride Award
Jessica Lueckenhoff, paraprofessional at Labadie Elementary, is the November recipient of the Blue Jay Pride Award.
The Blue Jay Pride Award was introduced to recognize and showcase quality School District of Washington staff and the focus on the District’s core beliefs. Through peer nomination, individuals are able to acknowledge exceptional staff who positively impact the schools, district and community.
The individual who is recognized each month will be presented with a traveling plaque and a gift card.
Lueckenhoff’s nomination form stated the following:
“Jessica Lueckenhoff came to Labadie from Washington Middle School to assist with students transitioning to the kindergarten setting. She accepted the new placement with an open mind and has built a relationship with students she never knew prior to coming to our building. This role came after the start of the school year, but she jumped right into a role model for not only one student, but all. She is patient while setting high expectations for students. She has brought many ideas and tools for our team to try or try again and makes valuable suggestions for our team. When thinking about our district’s core values, Jessica fits right into all areas with her presence and expertise. Jessica has brought so many qualities to our building that will certainly be missed when she moves on to her next role.”
Lueckenhoff was presented the Blue Jay Pride Award traveling plaque by SDOW Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart. She also received a gift card from First State Community Bank, represented by John Freitag.
