Washington High School Students Named to All-State Choir
Washington High School seniors Annie Snider and Owen Van Leer recently were named to the All-State Choir.
Snider, a soprano, and Van Leer, a tenor, will represent the School District of Washington in January as members of the All-State Choir at Tan-Tar-A. It’s the second straight year Van Leer has been selected.
Honorable mention selections were senior Andrew Dawson, bass, and junior Morgan Koch, alto.
Honorable mention recognition signifies that students scored in the top 10 of their vocal sections in the East Central District. Dawson and Koch will be invited to participate in the Festival Choir along with Snider and Van Leer this summer in Springfield.
“All of our All-District choir members delivered a fantastic concert,” said WHS Vocal Music teacher Jessie Katz. “Their hard work and musical excellence were truly on display, and we could not be more proud of their accomplishments.”
