Washington High School Leadership Class Completes Community Service Projects
The Washington High School Leadership class recently completed two school-wide service projects aimed at supporting the local community and honoring those who serve.
As part of the annual Festival of Trees food drive, students and staff donated more than 2,000 food items for St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Washington. The donations will help support families in need during the holiday season.
In addition, the Leadership class partnered with Student Council for the 1000 Thanks campaign, collecting more than 900 handwritten letters from Washington High School students and staff. The letters, written to express gratitude and appreciation, were shipped this week to veterans across the country.
Through these efforts, the Leadership class demonstrated a strong commitment to service, generosity, and community involvement.
