Washington High School basketball player Nakai Scott is the KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week.

Scott, a 5-10 senior guard, is averaging 13.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists for the Blue Jays this season. He’s shooting 59.5 percent from the floor on two-pointers and 29.5 percent on three-pointers while going 77.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Scott scored 17 points in recent victories over North Point and Owensville. He’s scored in double figures in seven of the Blue Jays’ eight games and knocked down five three-pointers against Union.
