School District of Washington Transition Fair Scheduled for Wednesday, February 4
The School District of Washington’s Special Education Department will host its third annual Transition Fair on Wednesday, February 4, in conjunction with the Washington High School Curriculum Fair.
The event will take place in the Little Blue Jay Gymnasium at Washington High School from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The Transition Fair is designed to provide parents and families of students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 plan the opportunity to connect with organizations and individuals who offer valuable resources and support. Attendees will be able to ask questions and gather information to help navigate educational planning and the transition to life after high school.
While the transition process becomes especially important as students approach graduation, district staff encourage parents of students of all ages to attend. Beginning the planning process early helps families better understand available services and options and ensures students are prepared for future success.
The event will follow an open-house format, allowing families to arrive at their convenience during the scheduled time. No RSVP is required.
For more information, families may contact the Special Education Office at 636-239-5162.
