Washington High School Scholar Bowl Team Places Second at GAC Tournament
The Washington High School scholar bowl team registered a second-place finish at the GAC Tournament on Saturday, March 14, at North Point High School.
The Blue Jays, coached by Nathan Cabot, lost to Ft. Zumwalt West in round 9 in the championship match.
Washington’s team members were Zach Zingrich, Elijah Hewlett, Peter Bush, Nathan Oreskovic, Liam Scroggins and Ben Raeker.
Oreskovic earned first-team all-conference honors. Bush earned honorable mention all-conference honors.
“We had great contributions from the entire team on Saturday,” Cabot said. “All day long, our kids were having fun and were very competitive. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to coach such a great group this year. We have one more regular season tournament before we start districts in late April.”
