Washington High School Choir Presents Madrigal Dinner December 12-14
The Washington High School Choral Department is excited to present its annual Madrigal Dinner, “A West Texas Cowboy in King Arthur’s Court,” on Thursday-Saturday, December 12-14, at John B. Busch Brewery Event Center, 108 Busch Ave., Washington, MO 63090.
A jolly good time of beautiful singing, delicious food, raucous antics, and lively thespians for your holiday enjoyment.
The Madrigal Dinner is a unique musical event that combines the elegance of a Renaissance feast with the charm of choral music. Attendees are transported to a grand banquet hall in 16th-century England, where they are not just audience members, but an essential part of the experience.
The evening begins with a welcome reception, where you will be announced by the Town Crier and ushered into the hall by choir members. As the dinner progresses, you will be treated to a sumptuous three-course feast, reminiscent of the lavish meals enjoyed by nobility in the Renaissance era.
In between courses, students dressed in elaborate period costumes will delight you with a play and entertain you with townspeople, creating a magical atmosphere that immerses everyone in the spirit of the Renaissance and the holidays.
Tickets are $45 for preferred seating and $35 for general seating, which includes the three-course meal and entertainment. The dinner will be held at the John B. Busch Brewery and Event Center on the following dates:
Thursday, December 12 – 7 p.m.
Friday, December 13 – 7 p.m.
Saturday, December 14 – 4 p.m.
Seating will begin 30 minutes prior to the show time, and you will need to show your ticket for entry.
