Carpenters Local 1839 and 1596 Makes Donation to FRCC Building Construction for SkillsUSA Nationals
The Carpenters Local 1839 and 1596 donated a total of $6,000 to the Four Rivers Career Center’s Building Construction program, helping make it possible for instructor Jeff Frankenberg and two of his students to attend the SkillsUSA National Competition this summer.
The donation will support registration, travel and lodging expenses for the group as they represent Four Rivers Career Center on the national stage. The SkillsUSA Nationals bring together top career and technical education students from across the country to compete in skilled trades, leadership, and technology events.
“This support from Carpenters Local 1839 and 1596 is a big deal for our program and our students,” said Frankenberg. “It gives our students the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level.”
