Missouri National Guard Leads Team-Building Workout with Washington High School Students
Members of the Missouri National Guard visited Washington High School on Thursday, January 15, where they partnered with students in physical education classes for a unique hands-on learning experience.
During the visit, National Guard members guided students through a dynamic workout focused on team building, while reinforcing the importance of communication and listening skills. The activities encouraged cooperation, problem-solving, and leadership — skills that extend well beyond the gym.
Following the exercises, the Guardsmen spoke with students about the benefits of joining the National Guard, including opportunities for career development, job training, and life experience, as well as a strong emphasis on community involvement and service. Students also learned about the program’s tuition and certificate assistance, which can help support future educational and career goals.
The visit concluded with a question-and-answer session, giving students the chance to engage directly with Guard members and explore potential pathways for their future.
