The Washington High School Winter Guard captured a victory on Saturday, March 28, earning first place in the Scholastic A division at the Mid-Continental Color Guard Association (MCCGA) Championships in Willard.

Performing their 2026 show, “The Light We Leave Behind,” the ensemble secured the championship title - marking a first in program history at the Scholastic A level. It is also the first time the program has earned a championship since 2023, when the group competed in the Scholastic AA division.

The accomplishment highlights the dedication, hard work, and growth of the WHS Winter Guard as the program continues to build on its tradition of excellence.
