Washington High School senior Nathan Oreskovic recently competed in a national invitation-only Individual Scholar Bowl tournament in Chicago, showcasing his academic knowledge against some of the top high school competitors in the country.

The tournament featured 302 students from across the nation, including 26 participants from Missouri. Competing against a highly competitive field, Oreskovic finished 166th overall.

Oreskovic’s participation highlights the continued strength of Washington High School’s Scholar Bowl program as it competes on both the state and national level.

Following graduation, Oreskovic will attend the University of Missouri.

The Washington High School Scholar Bowl team will return to competition Saturday, April 18, at the district tournament, where the winner will advance to the state quarterfinals.
