Labadie Elementary Spelling Bee
Labadie Elementary held its spelling bee on Thursday, April 3.
A select group of students participated in the spelling bee, which took place in the gymnasium with other students and teachers looking on.
Jonathan Ortiz, a sixth-grade student, was the winner of the spelling bee. Grayson Redmond, a fourth-grade student, was the second-place finisher. Mason Raney, a fifth-place student, placed third.
Ortiz will represent Labadie Elementary at the Regional Spelling Bee at East Central College on April 26.
Also participating in the spelling bee were Ben Wood, Brock Hogenmiller, Eloise Martin, Ellie Fleming, Quinn McDaniel and Lincoln LaBoube.
