Washington High School hosted a three-team boys and girls wrestling meet against North County and Warrenton on Wednesday, January 7.

The varsity Blue Jays and Lady Jays both notched wins over North County and Warrenton. The Lady Jays improved to 8-0 on the season and the Blue Jays improved to 9-1.

Competing for the varsity boys were Miles Grimes, Owen Spaunhorst, Chase Houston, Trenten Dooley, Gable Ohm, Ethan James, Cam Gillette, Aiden Reagan, Noah Dooley, Landon Aguayo, Lane Gerling, Camden Dewert, Damon Highley and Oliver Lohmeyer.

Competing for the varsity girls were Maycee Rion, Jane Lyons, Lydia Barrett, Aubrey Pecka, Gracey Garner, Payton Moritz, Kris Blankenship, Lily Buchanan, Jordyn Keiser, Grace Satory, Ava Auzat, Sunny Null, CJ Trevino and Gwen Hillermann.

Washington is coached by Josh Ohm and assisted by Jared Rennick, Mike Olszowka, Joe Omer and Spencer Neptune.    

It also was Alumni Night as many former WHS wrestlers were on hand for the event.
