Washington High School’s Winter Courtwarming is scheduled for Friday, February 6. The boys varsity and junior varsity basketball teams will be in action against North Point. The junior varsity game begins at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity contest to follow at approximately 7 p.m.

This year's Courtwarming theme is “Candy Land: A Sweet Escape.”

The Courtwarming Court will be introduced between the JV and varsity games at approximately 6:40-6:50 p.m. The dance will be held following the varsity boys basketball game. It will take place in the Little Blue Jay Gymnasium from 8:45-10:30 p.m. Coronation will be held during the dance at 9:45 p.m.

Tickets to the dance are available for WHS students for $5 and will be sold February 2-6 before school from 8-8:15 a.m. and after school from 3:25-3:40 p.m. in the guidance lobby. Tickets will not be sold at the dance. Students will need their school ID for entrance to the dance. Students who want to bring a guest other than a WHS student must complete a guest form prior to purchase of their ticket. Guest forms can be found in the principal offices. Guests will need a form of ID for entrance to the dance.

February 2-6 is spirit week at Washington High School. The themes for each day are as follows:

Monday, February 2: Sweet Dreams - wear pajamas.

Tuesday, February 3: Chocolate Swamp - dress in brown.

Wednesday, February 4: Taste the Rainbow - class colors; freshman in yellow, sophomores in green, juniors in purple, seniors in red, and staff in orange.

Thursday, February 5: 100 Grand- dress like a millionaire.

Friday, February 6: Blue Jay Sugar High - Blue Jay Pride.
