Prop W Playground Projects Completed at South Point Elementary, Early Learning Center

As a result of voters approving Proposition W last April, two playground improvement projects have recently been completed in the School District of Washington.
ADA-accessible playground projects at South Point Elementary and the Early Learning Center have been completed with the installation of new playground turf and playground equipment. Improvements to the playground at Labadie Elementary will be completed soon.
Proposition W, a $22 million no-tax-rate-increase bond issue, focuses on modernizing learning environments throughout the School District of Washington. Projects are designed to improve safety, accessibility and instructional spaces across District facilities to better serve students and staff.
The newly completed playground projects provide more accessible and inclusive outdoor spaces for students at South Point Elementary and the Early Learning Center.
